Neighbourhood Volunteering Ambassadors

We need local people who are active in their communities to support other local people to be connected and engaged with everything that’s happening around Withington, Old Moat and Ladybarn. We’re making a network of neighbourhood ambassadors to keep up to date on new groups, upcoming activities, current health messages and new services in order to help our neighbourhood thrive.

To become a neighbourhood ambassador, all you’ve got to do is sign up using this link and help us by filling in this optional diversity monitoring form too. That will give you access to the WhatsApp group and mailing list to share messages and keep up with what’s going on in the neighbourhood. You’ll also get an invite to the free volunteer coffee mornings, to meet other volunteers and learn all sorts of useful skills.

The next coffee morning is Friday 2nd August 9:45 – 11:15 at Withington Baths. Contact Hannah by calling 0161 224 3733 or emailing hannah@ladybarncommunityhub.co.uk to RSVP.

Withington, Old Moat and Ladybarn Volunteering Partnership

To help volunteers get the most out of their time and to strengthen local services, volunteer-supported organisations across Withington, Old Moat and Ladybarn are joining the Volunteering Partnership. If you’re interested in volunteering in the neighbourhood, check out the volunteering opportunities available from the Neighbourhood Volunteering Partnership.

If you don’t currently volunteer with a specific service but are more informally active in your community and would like to take part, you are also welcome.

Who’s involved

Ladybarn Community Hub

We are a community centre on Royle Street in Ladybarn, and we run a variety of groups such as coffee mornings, choirs and over 50s lunch clubs as well as hosting other organisations like youth groups and churches. Volunteers are an integral part of the service, helping to run sessions, connect with group members, and spread the word about the service.
