Volunteer With Us

Our volunteers are the heart of Ladybarn Community Hub. They are involved in such a broad range of tasks throughout the week. This might range from working on our garden to make it a relaxing and peaceful place or helping at our walking club to support members of our community to enjoy green spaces locally. Our volunteers also do an amazing job of helping at our popular lunch group for over 50s and LGBTQ+ coffee morning, ensuring that it is a warm and welcoming space.

If you would like to join our volunteer team, we can find a volunteer role and find the hours that suits you best.

Student volunteering

If you are a student, we also have opportunities for volunteering to help you participate and contribute to the community during your time in Manchester. We offer a welcoming environment and have volunteer roles to match various interests.

Benefits of volunteering –

  1. Make new friends and gain a connection in the community
  2. Gain new skills and valuable work experience
  3. Improve health, wellbeing and confidence

Neighbourhood Volunteering Ambassadors

We have created a network of neighbourhood ambassadors to keep up to date on upcoming activities, current health messages and new services in order to help our neighbourhood thrive in Ladybarn, Withington and Old Moat.

To become a neighbourhood ambassador, please contact us on 0161 224 3733. We will then send you a form to sign up. You will then be part of our WhatsApp group, mailing list and be able to keep up with what’s going on in the neighbourhood. You will also get an invite to the free coffee mornings to meet other volunteers.

Organisations involved: Ladybarn Community Hub, Manchester Local Care Organisation, Sure Start Children’s Centre, Together Dementia Support, Friends of Mauldeth Road Station, Withington Assist, Southway Housing Trust, Withington Civic Society and Withington Baths.
